DISCOVER THE IMPACT OF OUR PARTNERSHIPS IN LUXEMBOURG

OUR INSTITUTIONAL PARTNERSHIPS

Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs

The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MAEE) supports and provides financial assistance to Tous à l’Ecole Luxembourg through two projects:

In 2019, by providing support in the financing of university studies and equipment for nearly 400 students housed in hostels.

In 2020, by helping to finance the construction of a boarding school intended to accommodate nearly 120 young secondary school students.

The realization of these projects is accompanied by the definition of objectives and qualitative and quantitative success criteria, the regular measurement of the achievement of these objectives and regular reporting to the MAEE, in accordance with the provisions in force in the general conditions decreed by the MAEE.

OUR BUSINESS PARTNERS

PwC

PwC employees affected by the cause of educating the poor have chosen to sponsor a Happy Chandara class. They named the class Champigny in memory of a friend and associate. Class sponsorship allows you to give to the group and not favor one student over others. “It is a gift that does good to the one who gives and even more to the one who receives.

The Atoz foundation

Created in 2012 on the initiative of the partners of Atoz Tax Advisers, the Atoz Foundation has made education its priority in the fight against poverty. It is therefore logical that they have chosen to support Toutes à l’école, and to sponsor a class (since 2014) in order to ensure the education of 30 little girls and to guarantee them access to a profession and a bright future.

The Foundation’s testimony:

“We have followed with great pleasure the development of the girls in the class over the years and have been able to interact with them on several occasions. In spring 2018, we were able to appreciate the magnificent and serious work of the Happy Chandara teams in person in Phnom Penh and meet the girls with a smile and a lot of emotion. This confirmed our desire to support Toutes à l’école.”

Arendt & Medernarch

Because more than half of the world’s out-of-school children are girls. Because in Cambodia poverty is such that some parents often have no other option than to make their children work from an early age, the collaborators and former collaborators of the Arendt group have chosen to sponsor a class of young students. Through personal donations and fundraising through various events such as their company’s Christmas market, they participate in the high-level education of extremely poor little girls, in order to lead them to a profession that will bring them freedom and dignity.
Because an educated woman can take charge of her life.

ALD Automotive

Testimony

“Toutes à l’école was chosen as the Association of the Year by all of our staff. We are very proud to have been able to support, with the help of our partners, a cause as noble and current as access to education for girls. During the discussions within the framework of this partnership, all the participants were able to appreciate the commitment and kindness of the Toutes à l’école team. “

Tralux Construction

The Tralux Construction teams offer skills sponsorships to the local teams from Toutes à l’école Luxembourg in Cambodia, technical support for the construction of the new secondary boarding school and the rehabilitation of the embankments around Happy Chandara. This technical support takes the form of regular monitoring of the two projects, a contribution of expertise on “Green” solutions, a qualitative analysis of the offers of local service providers, and the proposal of practical technical solutions.

This exchange makes it possible to mobilize multidisciplinary teams on the values of solidarity and commitment common to Tralux and Toutes à l’école.

Alter Domus

“Toutes à l’école” was selected by Alter Domus’ teams and clients as one of the main causes they wanted to support for the year, because it resonates the most with our own values and our everyday commitment to offer diverse learning opportunities and career paths to students, fresh graduates and employees from all continents. And it all starts with having a fair access to primary education. Our name means “The Other House”, and we are delighted to support the work of “Toutes à l’école” in ensuring that more young women feel at home when they are at school and empowering them to pursue their studies.

OUR ACADEMIC PARTNERS

Vauban, French school and college in Luxembourg

Since 2019, Toutes à l’école Luxembourg has developed a partnership with the Lycée Vauban, strong in the conviction that the two schools (Happy Chandara in Phnom Penh and Vauban in Luxembourg) can cooperate effectively and usefully in the sharing of resources and educational initiatives, for the benefit of their respective students.

This partnership has taken several forms over time:

Summer camp 2019

A team of five English teachers from Vauban hosted the Happy Chandara Summer Camp 2019, dividing their time between academic teaching and more fun activities. This three-week Summer Camp is intended for students from Happy Chandara High School. The emphasis is on the oral practice of English around social themes.

SCHOOL EXCHANGE

Two second year students from Happy Chandara spent part of their 2019/20 school year in Vauban. They were welcomed and lodged by families of Vauban’s students. They were able to benefit from a school program adapted to their knowledge and practice of the French language and their level in other disciplines. They both joined Vauban’s international section.

TEACHER’S SUPPORT

Two teachers from Vauban accompanied the five students who came for an internship at UNI in Luxembourg during the summer of 2019. This support continued with a trip to Cambodia which enabled them to follow the five returning students to their families, to meet with and talk to their parents and their families. The video traces these few weeks of rich and moving encounters.

These initiatives called for renewal and development but have unfortunately suffered the effects of the pandemic. The Summer Camp could not be renewed during the summer of 2020, the two second students left prematurely in March 2020 with their families. The enthusiasm for an active collaboration between the two schools nevertheless remains intact.

L'école Sainte-Sophie

Toutes à l’école Luxembourg intervenes within L’école Sainte-Sophie through an awareness-raising workshop on the challenges of girls’ education in Cambodia and more generally in the world. These presentations were presented to several primary classes, followed by discussions and debates with the students.

L’école Sainte-Sophie is currently sponsoring three Happy Chandara students and continues to organize an annual awareness day for our project, called “Rice Bowl,” where students forgo their meal for a bowl of rice. The price of the usual meal is donated to Tous à l’École.

L'UNI

As supporting students in their higher education is at the heart of Toutes à l’école Luxembourg’s mission, a partnership has been developed with the University of Luxembourg. Thanks to this, 5 first-year university students from the Happy Chandara hostel had the great chance to join l’UNI for a one-month immersion program during summer 2019.
